Blizzard of 2010 at Cornucopia at Oldfield

Like many in the Northeast, our winter wonderland arrived on December 26.  Unfortunately travel conditions prevented several of our guests from arriving, but it is better that they are safe and not risking tavel under those conditions.  The winds did a thorough job of early winter pruning of our 100' sugar maples, but no major trees, limbs or other items were damaged by the fierce winds and drifting snow.  Given our homes 190 years, this is only 1 of many major storms it has weathered.

We hope that you survived the Blizzard of 2010 safe and sound also.  It looks to be a great winter in Connecticut - excellent for some snow tubing at nearby Woodbury Ski Area.
