Governor Malloy comes to visit our B&B

Governor Dan Malloy along with several representatives of the Economic and Community Development Commission came for lunch at Cornucopia at Oldfield.  ( He is pictured above along with Commissioner Smith, Ed and Christine).  The purpose was to talk about Tourism, Jobs and the role of small properties like ours.  We had a lively discussion with the Governor about the importance of tourism to the State's economy and the need for dynamic brand marketing by the State.  It was an honor to host Governor Malloy.  It is clear to me that he understands tourism and tourism marketing.  A refreshing change.

This has been quite a month for us as far as dignataries.  In addition to the Governor and Lama Tenzin, we have had the founder of a major internet company, World Bank executives (with the title of Social Development Specialist in the Africa Sustainable Development Department) and a noted psychotherapist and minister Ron Cebik.  You can follow Ron's blog by clicking here.

Of course, if you would like to share some breakfast with other vibrant, educated and engaging people like yourself, come stay  at Cornucopia at Oldfield.  For more information, click here.
